Brandon Segal

Brandon Segal ( born July 12, 1983 in North Delta, British Columbia ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since August 2013 at the Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Brandon Segal began his career as a hockey player with the Calgary Hitmen, for which he was four and a half years from 1999 to 2003 in the Western Hockey League active. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 in the fourth round as a total 102 players from the Nashville Predators for which, however, he never played. From 2003 to 2007 Segal ran for their farm team in the American Hockey League, the Milwaukee Admirals, to, with whom he won the 2004 Calder Cup. Prior to the 2007/ 08 season of Canadians was transferred to the Anaheim Ducks, but came again exclusively for their AHL farm team, the Portland Pirates to inserts.

February 26, 2008 Segal was issued by the Ducks with a seventh- round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 in exchange for Jay Leach to the Tampa Bay Lightning. In the 2008 /09 season, the attacker was also his debut in the National Hockey League for Tampa Bay when he ran aground on March 3, 2009 at the home game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Prior to the 2009/10 season Segal got a contract in franchise the Los Angeles Kings and was used in the episode, both in the NHL with the Kings, as well as the Manchester Monarchs in the NHL. In February 2010 he was engaged by the Dallas Stars, after had put on the Waiverliste him the Kings. In January 2011, he was again placed on the Waiverliste and after had requested him none of the teams sent to the farm team of the Texas Stars. Beginning of September 2011 received the winger a contract with the Chicago Blackhawks, for which he was exclusively in the AHL farm team in the Rockford IceHogs on the ice. Shortly before the Trade Deadline, February 21, 2012, gave him the Chicago Blackhawks from in exchange for Matt Fornataro to the Tampa Bay Lightning. As a free agent Segal joined the New York Rangers on July 11, 2012. For this, however, the Canadians completed only one NHL game and was instead set as the root force in the Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League, where Segal aground as an assistant captain. For the 2013/14 season he signed a one year contract with the Washington Capitals.

Internationally

Segal represented the Team Canada Pacific at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, 2000. Doing so, he won the bronze medal with the team and prepared in five tournament games before a goal. He also received six penalty minutes.
