Origin and History
The Braque d' Auvergne was born about 200 years ago in the eponymous landscape. It is one of many created in France breeds of hunting dogs and a typical pointer with getüpfeltem fur.
Description
The up to 63 cm large dog is black with differently sized, white spotting. The head is dark colored with floppy ears, the rich moved forward to about the nose. The coat is short and spotted, but it can also be grayish. He is of powerful build, but still an elegant runner, not a sprinter, but born for the long haul. While it is not rare in France, he is hardly known outside.
Nature
When hunting a genuine all-rounder, it is used for small game. He shows as a pointing dog qualities, as when retrieving. With sufficient employment he is a good family dog.
