Bratislava City Museum

The Bratislava City Museum ( Muzeum mesta Slovak Bratislavy, MMB) is a museum in Bratislava. It was founded in 1868 and is the oldest existing museum in Slovakia. The museum documents the history of the capital from prehistoric times to the 20th century. The main exhibition is located in the Old Town Hall, ( námestie Hlavné ) on the main square in the old town.

The museum operates at eight different locations permanent exhibitions:

  • City History Museum ( Altes Rathaus )
  • Arms Museum ( in the tower of Michaelertors )
  • Watch Museum (in the house of the Good Shepherd )

  • Arthur Fleischmann Museum
  • Museum Janko Jesenský
