Bráulio Mantovani

Bráulio Mantovani (* July 1963 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian screenwriter.

Life

Mantovani studied at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. He then tried his hand as a screenwriter and worked as a simple cameraman and assistant director for Zbigniew Rybczyński in the early 1990s.

In 2000, his first screenplay as part of a serial was produced, followed in 2002 with City of God, the first feature film. For this he was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2004 for an Oscar in the category.

There were other screenplays, for which he won several Brazilian film awards.
