Brautsee

The Brautsee is a lake in Schleswig- Holstein in the northeastern area of the town of Schleswig, east of the St. Jürgen.

The name of the bride lake derives from a legend according to which opposed a farmer's daughter, a forced marriage.

In the West ( Seekamp ) and north ( Moldeniter way ) reaches the residential area very close (about 40 meters) to the shore. In the east ( Pionierstraße ) and south ( locust Taler way ) are still agricultural land. The "Am Brautsee " however, is a western and further removed from the lake parallel street Seekamp.

The Brautsee is an association waters of the fishing club Schleswig, with stocking of pike, perch, eel, carp, tench, bream, white bream, crucian carp, and various other species of white fish.
