Brazilian Football Confederation

The Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF ) is the national football association in Brazil. The headquarters of the Association in Barra da Tijuca, a western suburb of Rio de Janeiro. President since 2012, José Maria Marin.

The association was founded on June 8, 1914 as Federação Brasileira de Desportos, but was renamed in 1915 in Federação Brasileira de Futebol. From 1916 to 1979, when the CBF was given its present name, she was renamed as Confederação Brasileira de Desportos.
