The Breede River ( Afrikaans: Breederivier, German: Broad River ) is a 337 km long river in the Western Cape Province, South Africa. Its catchment area is 12,384 km ².

Larger cities (from source to mouth ) on the Breede are Worcester, Robertson, Montagu and Swellendam, it flows west of Mossel Bay at Witsand near the Cap Infanta in the Indian Ocean.
