Breitenbach (Bas-Rhin)

Breitenbach is a commune with 696 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Sélestat - Erstein, for Canton Villé and is a member of the Association of Municipalities Canton de Villé.

Geography

The Vosges - Breitenbach lies in the valley of the same width brook, a tributary of the Ruisseau du casting de walkways, which flows via the casting for Ill. In the northwest Breitenbach is connected via the 961 m high Col de la Charbonnière with the Breuschtal, in the northeast on the 766 m high Col du Way of the Cross with the Andlautal.

To Breitenbach also includes the hamlet of warriors Matt.

Neighboring municipalities of Breitenbach are Hohwald in the northeast, Albe in the Southeast, Saint -Martin in the south, Maisonsgoutte and trails in the southwest and Belle Fosse in the northwest.
