Bremsnitz

Bremsnitz is a municipality in the southeast of the Saale- wood - country circuit and part of the joint management hills / valleys in Thuringia.

Location

The district Bremsnitz is located southeast of the hall - wood - country circuit and is one of the so-called valleys villages. The nearest railway stations are Neustadt ( Orla ) (about 10 kilometers away on the route Leipzig- Gera - Saalfeld- Probstzella ) and Stadtroda ( about 13 kilometers away on the route Weimar -Jena -Gera ).

History

Bremsnitz was mentioned in documents for the first time on September 7, 1358. The farmers of the predominantly agricultural town had to go the way of collectivization of their farms from 1952.
