Brenda Schultz-McCarthy

Brenda Schultz- McCarthy ( born December 28, 1970 in Haarlem as Brenda Schultz ) is a former Dutch tennis player.

Career

Schultz- McCarthy played in 1986 for the first time on the WTA Tour. In her career she won a total of 7 singles titles and nine doubles titles on the WTA Tour. The highest place in the world rankings, it reached number 9 on 20 May 1996. According to a long-term injury, she finished first time in 1999 her tennis career. 2005 she made her comeback and played in the 2006 Fed Cup and on the WTA Tour. The best result for her comeback was reaching the quarterfinals at the grass tournament in 's- Hertogenbosch.

On April 8, 1995 Schultz- McCarthy married the American football player at the University of Cincinnati Sean McCarthy.

At the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 she went to double, reaching with her partner Manon Bollegraf fourth place.
