Brent Raedeke

Brent Raedeke (born 29 May 1990 in Regina, Saskatchewan ) is a German - Canadian professional ice hockey forward who plays for the Iserlohn Roosters in the German Ice Hockey League since 2013.

Career

Brent Raedeke began his career in the youth team of the Regina Pat Canadians and the Junior Team Regina Pats of the Canadian Junior Football League WHL held the rights to him before he was selected by the Edmonton Oil Kings in the expansion draft. His first season in the WHL, he eventually denied in 2007/ 08 in Edmonton and was one of the best players of the weakly staffed teams with 15 goals and 16 assists.

In the NHL Entry Draft 2008 Raedeke was selected by any team, but in the autumn invited him to the Detroit Red Wings of the NHL training camp and there he won, so it took the team for three years under contract. Although usually players under 20 years of age may be required only on the NHL Entry Draft, the Red Wings took advantage of a rule that allows unsigned junior players who have participated in the training camp of a NHL team to respond within 14 days of the training camp under contract.

Raedeke then returned to the Oil Kings, the 2008/ 09 significantly improves presented themselves. The team finished in eighth place in the Eastern Conference and thus qualified for the playoffs for the first time. Brent Raedeke was again one of the pillars of Edmonton as the third- best scorer on the team with 55 points from 70 games. In the first round of the playoffs, the Oil Kings met the favored Calgary Hitmen, who were their role also just and decided the series without defeat for themselves. After leaving the final Raedeke was appointed to the cadre of the Grand Rapids Griffins, which act as a farm team of Detroit and he gave on April 3, 2009, his debut in the American Hockey League.

The 2009/10 season he spent with the Brandon Wheat Kings in the WHL and came in 48 games for use, in which he scored 37 points. For the 2010/11 season he was definitely included in the AHL squad of Grand Rapids Griffins, where he then regularly was used. For the 2013/14 season Raedeke changed in the German Hockey League to the Iserlohn Roosters. He signed a two-year contract and finished because of his German passport no foreigners license.

Brent Raedeke is a defensively oriented forward, who has a good hockey instincts and fast running speed and has its strengths in the lower numbers game and Bullies. He has still weaknesses in attack and he must be physically robust.
