Brent Reiber

Brent Reiber ( born December 31, 1966 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan ) is a professional Canadian ice hockey referee, the game is derived for the Swiss Ice Hockey Association since 1997.

Career

Brent Reiber began his career as a hockey referee in 1980 at the age of 13 and subsequently started games in various junior leagues. From 1984 to 1986 he headed the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League games and the Canada West Universities Athletic Association. Then he got to work the way as a referee in the junior Western Hockey League, where he worked until 1995. He then managed the 1996 Memorial Cup, the final tournament for the championship of the Canadian Hockey League. Subsequently, he was initially for six months in the Japan Ice Hockey League active before the Canadians in 1997 moved to Switzerland, where he has worked as a professional referee for the Swiss Ice Hockey Association in the National League A. In addition, he participated in the 2005/06 season at the IIHF Referee Exchange Program and came in other European leagues used. In the 2008 /09 season he was allowed to conduct games of the Champions Hockey League at European level.

Since 1996, Reiber is also active in international tournaments for the IIHF. From 2005 to 2009 he was employed in each A World Championships, and at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
