Bret Blevins

Bret Blevins ( born 1960 ) is an American comic artist, painter and storyboard artist.

Life and work

Blevins began in the early 1980s to work as a professional cartoonist. In the early years of his career he drew comic adaptations of television series that have been published by Marvel Comics, such as those of The Dark Crystal, Krull and The Last Starfighter.

After some work, as the representative artists of various series Blevins was eventually hired as a regular illustrator for The Bozz Chronicles series. This series was published by Epic Comics, an imprint of Marvel.

In 1987, Blevins the job of master illustrator of the series Strange Tales, an anthology series, for which he drew the stories of the title Cloak and Dagger.

In the same year Blevins series New Mutants was assigned. For this series, he was spending 55 to 83 by the end of this commitment, in 1989, he took over the series Sleepwalker. In 1993 he moved to DC Comics, where he some editions of the series Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight designed before it from 1993 to 1995, the series Batman: Shadow of the Bat recorded ( issues 16 to 33 ). His partner in this project was the author Alan Grant.

In 1996, Blevins, to work as an illustrator for animated series. In the following years he was mainly storyboards for Warner Brothers. This activity ended Blevins in 2005 to work as a gallery painter. Since then, Blevins has added his works mainly oil paintings.
