Bretleben
Bretleben is a municipality in the Thuringian Kyffhauserkreis. It is part of the joint management at the decorations.
Geography
Bretleben lies on the right bank of the Unstrut between cities Heldrungen and Artern. At the height of the Bretleben Unstrut between the Kyffhaeuser Mountains and the ridge of High Schrecke flows through the very fertile valley of the Adamantine Aue and changes direction a few miles away, coming from the southwest, to the southeast.
History
At the beginning of the 9th century Bretleben is built in a directory of the Patrimony of the Archbishop Lull († 786) of Mainz Hersfeld Monastery as Bretalaho mentioned.

Traffic
The municipality is located on the railway line Sangerhausen Erfurt. In the Bretleben since December 2006, unused and decommissioned in September 2008 Kyffhaeuser path branches off to special camp. The Federal Highway 86 runs past the community. The re currently in the planning stage dividend section of national highway 71 between Sömmerda and Sangerhausen will cross the Unstrut between Bretleben and Artern.
Culture and sights
- The Protestant St. John's Church is a cruciform church hall with closed polygonal choir and west tower. It was built in 1895-1897 in eclectic style and has a Hausteinverblendung. Inside is a Rabitzgewölbe with aufstuckiertem vault system. The original neo-Renaissance decor is almost completely lost. The church is currently being restored (2014 ) inside.
