Brett Somers
Brett Somers ( born July 11, 1924 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada as Audrey Sommers, † September 15, 2007 in Westport, Connecticut ) was an American actress and comedienne.
Life
Brett Somers was born in 1924 in Saint John in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. 1953 she married actor Jack Klugman, with whom she had sons Adam and David. 1974 parted Somers and Klugman, but are not divorced. The actress died at the age of 83 from cancer.
Career
Brett Somers was known in the United States as a television movie and series actress. She has had numerous recurring roles and guest appearances in popular shows like Ben Casey, The Odd Couple, Barney Miller and many more. In addition, she was a welcome guest at game shows like Hollywood Squares. A permanent place they had in the 1970s on the side of Charles Nelson Reilly in the prominent candidates team the game show Match Game. She also stood as a theater actress countrywide on stage.
