Brett Sterling

Brett Sterling ( born April 24, 1984 in Los Angeles, California) is an American professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HV71 Jonkoping in the Svenska Hockey ligands since May 2013.

Career

During the NHL Entry Draft 2003 Brett Sterling was selected in the fifth round as a total of 145 players from the Atlanta Thrashers. In the four years that he spent at Colorado College, he scored 108 goals in 150 games and came to a total of 184 points scorer. In his first season in professional hockey Sterling scored 97 points, including 55 goals in 77 games for the farm team of the Thrashers, the. In training camp for the 2007/ 08 NHL season succeeded Sterling to play for a spot in the NHL squad the Thrashers. On 20 October 2007 he scored his first goal in the National Hockey League. However, he could not completely penetrated, so he spent most of the season with the Chicago Wolves in the AHL. In the following two seasons playing for the Chicago Wolves Sterling and counted remains among the best scorers of the team. In July 2010 he signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins, who sent him to the training camp to the farm team for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

On July 4, 2011 Sterling signed a Zweiwegvertrag for one year with the St. Louis Blues and was used in the episode mostly at the Peoria Rivermen and the season end with the Portland Pirates in the AHL.
