Bretzenheim

Bretz Home is a municipality in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Langenlonsheim. Bretz Home is a nationally recognized tourist destination.

Geographical location

Bretz home is located on the near 10 km before its confluence with the Rhine. To the south, Bad Kreuznach, in the north of Bingen am Rhein.

History

The place was first mentioned in records in 1057. Until 1789, the Electorate of Cologne had the basic rule of the free imperial rule Bretz home. Feudal entities were initially the Count Palatine of the Rhine, followed by the Counts of Falkenstein in different lines before 1642 Count Alexander II of Velen purchased the domain.
