Bretzenheim
Bretz Home is a municipality in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Langenlonsheim. Bretz Home is a nationally recognized tourist destination.

Geographical location
Bretz home is located on the near 10 km before its confluence with the Rhine. To the south, Bad Kreuznach, in the north of Bingen am Rhein.
History
The place was first mentioned in records in 1057. Until 1789, the Electorate of Cologne had the basic rule of the free imperial rule Bretz home. Feudal entities were initially the Count Palatine of the Rhine, followed by the Counts of Falkenstein in different lines before 1642 Count Alexander II of Velen purchased the domain. After its descendant died Earl Alexander IV of Velen in 1733 without heirs, came the imperial government in 1734 to Ambrose Francis of Virmont who also died without an heir in 1744, so that Baron Ignaz Felix was invested by rolling to Bernau with Bretz home he 1772 Count Karl August von Heydeck sold. The latter, an illegitimate son of the Elector Karl Theodor of the Palatinate, was in 1774 raised to the Imperial Count and 1789 for imperial princes, Bretzenheim thus rose from an imperial rule to the Imperial Principality on. Already in 1795 the principality was French occupied and bruised in the Napoleonic Wars. After the Congress of Vienna in 1815 Bretz Home was incorporated the Prussian Rhine Province.
In parts of the district at Bretz home was 1945-1948 a POW camp, the so-called field of woe, which belonged to the group of Rheinwiesenlager.

The local council in Bretzenheim consists of 16 council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 a proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Culture and sights
The Felseneremitage was a rock-cut sanctuary from prehistoric times. Later it was used by hermits.

Bretz Home is part of the " Nahe wine-growing area " in the Nahe region. In the village 17 wineries operate, the area under vines is 112 hectares. Approximately 64 % of the cultivated wine are white wine varietals ( 2007). In 1979, 36 companies were still active, the former vineyard was 94 acres.

- The village has a railway station of the railway line Bingen- Saarbrücken.

In Bretzenheim Germany's first radio parish is located: Near Studio is operated by the Catholic parish Bretz Home and transfers services and sends Saturdays from 10:00 clock a local broadcast. Domradio Cologne coat program if no separate shipments are sent. The transmitting antenna is below the steeple of the church of St. Mary birth and has broadcast on the frequency 87.9 MHz with the transmit power of 0.16 kW (vertical transmission ) in the Middle Region of Bad Kreuznach to Bingen am Rhein.
