Brewster Medal

The William Brewster Medal is awarded annually by the American Ornithologists ' Union ( AOU ) were granted to authors or co- authors published an extraordinary work about birds of the Western Hemisphere. The award consists of a medal and honorarium. It is through the William Brewster Memorial Fund of the AOU funded and in honor of the AOU founding member William Brewster (1851-1919) awarded by his friends.
