BRG Klagenfurt-Viktring
The BRG Klagenfurt- Viktring is the 2nd Bundesrealgymnasium in Klagenfurt and Klagenfurt is located in the 13th district ( Viktring ).
It offered priorities in the musical education and in art education (BE). In addition, a real branch is present which scientific subjects such as mathematics, German, English and computer science particularly promotes (which was previously available only for children residing in the 13th district of Klagenfurt ). The school is attended by approximately 1,000 students, of which arrive a large part of the Carinthian countryside.
The school building is surrounded by a large park, where many ponds and tree groups are located. On the site is also home to the collegiate church of the former Cistercian monastery Viktring and the former prelate ( sticky, which means residence of the then abbot ).

Musical branch
Due to the intensive music lessons, instrumental lessons and choir singing a sound musical education is guaranteed. Pictorial branch
The exact name of this school branch is " secondary school with special emphasis on visual education ". This branch provides students with a professional artistic training at the expense of the natural sciences such as physics and biology.

Also for this school branch passing an aptitude test is required. The practical examination is intended to provide a picture of the ability of the receiving candidate to apply simple graphical and pictorial techniques.
Realistic branch
The realistic branch is now subject to not only the students whose residence is located in the 13th district of Klagenfurt. In the 11th grade ( 7th grade ), the student of physics and biology or descriptive geometry can decide as a main subject (school work tray).
Already in the fifth grade, the students can choose between Italian, French and Latin. Since the school year 2001 computer science is taught using new media. From the third to fifth grade, two lessons per week computer science are taught.
In the 5th grade, the students can opt for electives that are taught in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade. It may all subjects, up to Gymnastics selected.

Rose Ball
The annual Maturaball the BRG is Viktring Klagenfurt Rose Ball. He always takes place on Carnival Monday since 1977. Since 2004, the ECS Company accepts the light and sound design, the technology, the event organization, the Gastro Consulting, the advertising and marketing. By the year 2006, the Rose Ball at the Konzerthaus Klagenfurt was, since 2007, he is in Hall 5 in Klagenfurt.
