Brian Finley

Brian Finley ( born July 13, 1981 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario) is a former Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played during his career for the Nashville Predators and the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League.

Playing career

The 1.91 m wide goalie began his career with the Barrie Colts of the Canadian Junior Football League OHL before being selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1999 as sixth in the first round by the Nashville Predators ( drafted ) was.

After he had reached his previous season with the Colts the final of the Memorial Cup, but there lost 3:6 against the Rimouski Oceanic, the links catcher spent his final junior season with the Brampton Battalion. For the season 2002/ 03 Finley joined the Milwaukee Admirals, the AHL farm team the Predators. For the NHL team he came on 1 January 2003 to its first use in the highest North American professional league in the first third of the game against the Colorado Avalanche, he came in to replace regular keeper Tomas Vokoun.

For the 2006/07 season the Canadians moved to the league rivals from Boston, where he was employed in both the NHL squad as well as the farm team Providence Bruins in the AHL. Due to an injury in 2001 had moved, however, the Canadians had to prematurely end after this season his career.
