Brian Grazer

Brian Grazer ( born July 12, 1951 in Los Angeles, California) is an American film producer.

Life

Brian Grazer comes from a Jewish family. He graduated in 1974, the USC School of Cinema-Television. Together with Ron Howard, he founded in 1986 the production company Imagine Entertainment. It was in 1985 for the movie Splash - nominated a virgin on the hook for the Film Award Oscar, the second Oscar nomination for the film Apollo took place in 1996, 13 in 2002, he won the Oscar for the film A Beautiful Mind - Genie and madness, for which he was also nominated for the BAFTA Award. On 20 March 1997 he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Grazer was also involved in the production of several television series; this includes, among others, the series 24 for which he was nominated in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 for an Emmy Award. For the Arrested Development series, he won an Emmy Award in 2004, in 2005 he was nominated for an Emmy Award.

In March 2012 it was announced that Graz will be the author and producer of the miniseries Stephen King's novel implementation of the Dark Tower cycle.

Grazer is married to the writer of novels and screenplays Gigi Levangie.
