Brian Hayward

Brian George Hayward ( born June 25, 1960 in Georgetown, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. During his career he played for the Winnipeg Jets, Montreal Canadiens, Minnesota North Stars and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.

Career

Hayward played for four years from 1978 to 1982 at Cornell University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. In his last year he managed to appeal to the all-star team of the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

For the 1982/83 season the goalkeeper moved ungedraftet to the Winnipeg Jets in the NHL, but the first in their farm team, the Sherbrooke Jets of the American Hockey League, put him.
