Brian Houston (pastor)

Brian Houston ( born February 17, 1954 in Auckland, New Zealand) is pastor of Hillsong Church, the largest church in Australia.

Houston is the son of Frank and Hazel Houston, who worked as officers in the Salvation Army and later pastors. He has one brother and three sisters and has three children with his wife Bobbie, Joel, Ben and Laura. Joel Houston is a musician and producer in the Hillsong Church and directs Hillsong United. Ben Houston is pastor of " Hillsong Northern Beaches ". Laura Houston works in the graphics and marketing department of Hillsong.

After three years of training at a Bible College Brian married his wife Bobbie Houston in 1977. In 1983 she founded together in Sydney, the " Hills Christian Life Centre " whose church attendance is in the coming years grown from 45 to 20,000 people and is called since 1999 Hillsong Church. Houston has written 12 books.
