Brian Josephson

Brian David Josephson (born 4 January 1940 in Cardiff, Wales ) is a British physicist.

Josephson discovered as a 23 -year-old graduate student named after him Josephson effect. For " his theoretical prediction of properties of a Supra current through a tunnel barrier, in particular those phenomena which are generally known as the Josephson effect ", he received in 1973 with Leo Esaki and Ivar Giaever Nobel Prize for Physics.

He is professor emeritus at the University of Cambridge, where he directs the Mind -Matter Unification Project ( mind -matter unification ) to the Working Group for Theoretical Solid State Physics, and a Fellow of Trinity College. He is one of the few physicists who hold paranormal phenomena possible.
