Brian Propp

Brian Philip Propp (* February 15, 1959 in Lanigan, Saskatchewan ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player ( left wing ), which for the Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Bruins, Minnesota North Stars and Hartford Whalers played from 1979 to 1994 in the National Hockey League.

Career

As a junior, he played in the WHL Brandon Wheat Kings for. There he played in a row with Laurie Boschman and was in his second and third year respectively scorer fer league. So it was no surprise that he was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL Entry Draft in 1979 in the first round as the 14th.

Equal to the 1979/80 season he was brought to the NHL, where he played in a row with Bobby Clarke and Reggie Leach. The three harmonized perfectly and Propp came in his rookie season on 75 points. In his time with the Flyers three times he reached the finals for the Stanley Cup, but he was unsuccessful in his team every time. Four times in ten years, he went to more than 90 points scorer. A highlight was his appearance at the Canada Cup in 1984 as the Canadian team in a row with Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux it. Throughout his eleventh season with the Flyers, he was discharged to the Boston Bruins, but there it was only a short spell that again with a defeat in the Stanley Cup Finals ended. For the season 1990/91 he moved to the Minnesota North Stars. Here he came again in the Stanley Cup Finals, but was again defeated.

In the 1992/93 season he started with the North Stars, but after 17 players, he moved to Switzerland for HC Lugano. The following year he returned to the NHL. His team were now the Hartford Whalers. Thanks to the return he got his 1,000 NHL game and reached the 41 players the 1,000 point mark.

Due to a strike, the start of the NHL was delayed in the 1994/95 season and he served as player-coach at Anglet Hormadi Élite in France. When the NHL game operation resumed returned Propp not return.
