Brian Swanson

Brian Christopher Swanson ( born March 24, 1976 in Eagle River, Alaska ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player who played for the Alaska Aces in the ECHL.

Career

Swanson began his career in the local junior league AAHL at the Anchorage North Stars. After two years he went in 1993 to the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League and eventually spent his student days in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, a league game in the operation of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the Colorado College. There, the Americans managed to convince in his first season and was also one of the best point players in his team, as he was able to achieve 49 points scorer in 40 games. In the following three years, the links Sagittarius increased continuously and reached a total of 232 points in 167 games. Swanson received seven awards for his achievements. The last four games of the season 1998/99 Swanson played for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, the farm team of the Rangers. In summer 1999, Swanson signed a contract with the Edmonton Oilers, but was mostly in their farm team, the Hamilton Bulldogs, for use where he was one of the best scorers. It was only in his fourth and final season in Edmonton succeeded Swanson the breakthrough when he completed 44 NHL games and scored 12 points scorer.

This was followed by a change to the Atlanta Thrashers in which the Americans but was also on the ice almost exclusively for the farm team Chicago Wolves and was able to record 47 points scorer for itself in 70 games.
