Brian Wellman

Brian Wellman ( born September 8, 1967) is a retired triple jumper from Bermuda.

In Seoul in 1988 he first took part in the Olympic Games, but different in the qualifier.

In 1991, he was sixth at the World Championships in Tokyo and won gold at the Universiade. The following year, he finished fifth at the Olympic Games in Barcelona.

In 1993 he won the bronze medal at the World Indoor Championships in Toronto and was eighth at the World Championships in Stuttgart. One bronze medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria in 1995 was followed by gold at the World Indoor Championships in Barcelona and silver at the World Championships in Gothenburg.

He finished sixth at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, 1997 fifth at the World Championships in Athens in 1996. At the 1999 World Championships in Seville and the 2000 Olympics in Sydney he failed to qualify in his final 2001 World Championships in Edmonton, he was again sixth.

Three medals he won at the Central American and Caribbean Championships: bronze in 1997 and gold in 1999 and 2001.

Brian Wellman is 1,75 m tall and weighed 72 kg in his playing days.
