Briance

The river just upstream of the mouth

The Briance ( in the upper reaches also: Grande Briance ) is a river in France, which runs in the Haute -Vienne, in the Limousin region. It has its origins in the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin, where it arises from the confluence of two headwaters in the municipality of La Croisille -sur- Briance. The Briance drains generally in a north-westerly direction and joins after 58 kilometers at L' Aiguille, in the municipality of Bosmie - l'Aiguille as a left tributary of the Vienne.
