The Julius Berger Football Club is a Nigerian football team from Lagos.

History

The team, founded in 1975 is owned by the Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, a company belonging to Mannheim Bilfinger Berger Group construction company. This is led by Bilfinger Berger as a minority interest. Between 1991 and 2002 the club's league and cup of Nigeria won twice each.

The Julius Berger FC represented Nigeria in various international competitions of the African continental federation CAF. 1995 and 2003, the club came up here before in the finals of the African Cup Winners' Cup.

In the ranks of Julius Berger 's event included players like Jonathan Akpoborie, Emmanuel Amuneke, Taribo West and Sunday Oliseh, who could also become established in Germany and in other European clubs.

After the company Julius Berger significantly limited the financing of the association, began a decline of the football team, which ended in relegation from the Nigerian Premier League 2006. Since then, the club plays in Division 1

" The Bridge Boys ," as the club is also called, play their home games, are usually used in Onikan stage, which has a capacity of 5,000 spectators.
