Bridget Boland

Bridget Mary Boland ( born March 13, 1913 in London, † 19 January 1988 in Surrey ) was a British screenwriter and playwright.

Life

Bridget Roland was the daughter of the Irish politician John Pius Boland. She enjoyed her education at the private school Convent of Sacred Herat in Roehampton, and then studied at the University of Oxford. During World War II she served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. There, wrote and organized several theater pieces, which served to entertain the troops.

Subsequently she wrote several plays, three novels and several screenplays. For your script to Queen of the Thousand Days, she was nominated along with their coauthors John Hale and Richard Sokolove for an Oscar.
