Brienno is a place with 395 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in Italy, located at the south western shore of Lake Como. The community has the pre-industrial character preserved in a special way. This may on the one hand lie on the steep bank, which has so far prevented a modern urbanization. Furthermore, the spot using a 1150 meter long tunnel is largely bypassed by traffic. Apart from the old main road the nested architecture is only crossed by only barrow broad paths. Worth seeing is the war memorial built in memory of the war in Libya.
