Brig is a municipality in the district of Brig in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. They were elected to the Alpine town of the year 2008.

Geography

Brig- Glis is located between the northern and the southern Bernese Alps Valais Alps, at the confluence of Saltina into the Rhone. History

The municipality Brig was on 1 January 1973 from the merger of the former municipalities Brig Glis ( with the hamlet of mountain goats) and Brigerbad.
