Brigham City is a city and the county seat of Box Elder County, Utah, and lies west of the Wellsville Mountains.

History

The Mormon pioneer William Davis explored the region in 1850. A year later he came back with his family and other settlers and build permanent dwellings. The second leader of the Mormons, Brigham Young, held here in 1877, his last public sermon. In his honor, the city of Box Elder was renamed Brigham City.
