Brighouse

Brighouse is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale the English county of West Yorkshire. She had a total of 32,360 inhabitants in 2001 according to census.

The city has been twinned with Lüdenscheid in North Rhine -Westphalia. A park in the downtown Lüdenscheid was named after the town of Brighouse due to the twinning.

Brighouse is crossed by the A- roads A641, A643, A644 and A6025. To the south and south-east leads past the M62 at Brighouse, an important east -west axis from Liverpool via Manchester and Leeds to Hull.

Brighouse is a nexus between the Huddersfield Line and the Caldervale Line. In the former links between Leeds and Manchester Victoria are offered by Northern Rail, and on the Calvervale Line trains between Wakefield Westgate, Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield.
