Brighton Dome

The Brighton Dome is an event venue in Brighton, England. He has a large seating in Concert Hall ( Concert Hall ), a unbestuhlte Hall ( Corn Exchange ) and a small theater ( Pavilion Theatre ).

The building was originally completed in 1805 for the Prince Regent, the future King George IV as stables with a riding school and granary. The architect William Porden designed the ensemble in an Indo-Islamic style. Particularly striking was the 19-meter high glass dome which crowned the main hall. By 1860, this barn has been converted into a concert hall, in 1870 they built a pipe organ in the workshop of Henry Willis & Sons a. The rooms are now used as a concert venue of any genre, every week will take place in the Dome events. The victory of the group ABBA the Euro Vision Song Contest 1974 at the Brighton Dome is one of the great moments of that competition.
