Brigitte Lin
Brigitte Lin (Chinese林青霞, Pinyin Lín Qingxia; born November 3, 1954 in Taipei) is a Taiwanese actress who achieved fame primarily through Hong Kong productions.
She was discovered at the age of 17 years on a shopping street and got the role of a student who falls in love with her teacher in the film Out side my window. She was romantically involved with actors Charlie Hong Chin and Chin -Lin Hsion. Since 1994 she has been married to Michael Lee Yuen Ying, 1997 their daughter was born.
Brigitte Lin appeared in over 100 films. She is known for her slightly androgynous beauty. In many films she played a woman who disguises herself as a man.
Multiple she was nominated for film awards. In 1976 she was awarded Best Actress at the Asia- Pacific Film Festival, 1990, she was awarded the Golden Horse Award at the Film Festival in Taipei. 2006 an asteroid was named after her: ( 38821 ) Linchinghsia.
