Brigt Rykkje

Johan Ingebrigt ( Brigt ) Rykkje ( born June 16, 1975 in Bergen) is a Norwegian- Dutch speed skater.

Brigt Rykkjes father is Norwegian, his mother Dutch. The first few years he grew up in Norway, in 1980 the family went to the Netherlands. When Skating Club Ijsclub Haarlem he started skating. In December 1996, debuted the specialist for the long haul - especially the 10,000 meters - in the World Cup Hamar. He quickly established himself and ran in January 1998 in Innsbruck for the first time in the Top 10 ( 8 ). In November of the same year he won in Hamar over 5000 yards his first World Cup. Meanwhile, he had changed his nationality and is now launching for Norway. For Norway, he also appeared at the Olympics in Nagano in 1998 over the 1500 meters at ( 29 ). However, he moved again in 1999, the Nationality and stepped back to the Netherlands. The one time he was Norwegian, as well as Dutch runners-up, the third twice the national championships.
