Brill Publishers

Koninklijke Brill NV, abbreviated Brill, is an internationally active Dutch academic publisher and at EUR Euronext Amsterdam NV listed company.

The publishing house was founded in 1683 in Leiden, The Netherlands, where the company is headquartered to this day. The publisher maintains an office in Boston (USA). Sales amounted to around 25 million euros in 2006. Brill employs about 120 people, laid over 100 academic journals annually and approximately 500 new books and reference works.

Furthermore Brill belongs to its own IDC Publishers branch to the main line and microfilm / microfiche providers of primary literature for scientists in the fields of humanities and social sciences. All publications are available in print, microfilm / microfiche and in electronic form.
