Brisbane Airport is an airport located in Brisbane, Australia. It is located 13 km northeast of the city of Brisbane in Queensland.

The airport is large enough to accommodate the largest passenger aircraft category. History

The predecessor of the airport was opened in 1928 as Eagle Farm Airport. During the Second World War was the Eagle Farm Airport base of the Allied Powers. There often military aircraft were housed. After the war, the airport was first converted into a passenger airport. Terminals were built, and the airport was the target of some cargo airlines. In the 70 years the government gave the contract to build a new airport north of Eagle Farm. This was constructed by Leighton Holdings and opened in 1988 as Brisbane Airport.
