Brisbane Roar FC

The Brisbane Roar FC is a football club from Brisbane, Australia. The club plays in the Australian A-League professional league.

History

The history of Brisbane Roar goes back to the Brisbane Hollandia founded in 1957. Frequent restructuring and name change have shaped the history of the club. This was renamed the Brisbane Lions in the early 1970s and in the 1990s in Queensland Lions FC. This club got the license in 2004 to build a team for the A -League in Brisbane, ahead of the then more established Brisbane Strikers. The name for the A- League team was changed to Queensland Roar. By 2009, they took as Queensland Roar part in the game mode, but had to change this name after with Gold Coast United and North Queensland Fury two more teams from Queensland were included in the A-League.

On 26 November 2011, the team celebrated the 36th game without defeat in a row. So they broke the 74- year record of the rugby teams of the Sydney Roosters. Brisbane Roar 's Australian Master of the seasons 2010/11 and 2011 /12.
