Bristol County (Massachusetts)
The Bristol County is a county located in the state of Massachusetts in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Taunton.
The county has an area of 1790 square kilometers, of which 350 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Norfolk County, Plymouth County, Newport County (Rhode Iceland ), Bristol County (Rhode Iceland ) and Providence County (Rhode Iceland ).
According to the census in 2000 lived in Bristol County 534 678 inhabitants in 205 411 households and 140 706 families. The population was made up of 90.98 percent White, 2.03 percent African American, 1.26 percent Asian, and 0.24 percent Native American. 3.60 percent of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. The per capita income was 20 978 U.S. dollars; 7.8 percent of families and 10.0 percent of the population lived below the poverty line.
