Bristol County (Rhode Island)

Bristol County is a county located in the state of Rhode Iceland to the United States. In 2010, the County had 49 875 inhabitants and a population density of 779 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Bristol.


The county has an area of ​​116 square kilometers, of which 52 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Bristol County ( Massachusetts), Providence County and Kent County.


Bristol County was founded in 1747 following a border dispute from Bristol County, Massachusetts.



According to the census in 2000 lived in Bristol County 50 648 inhabitants in 19,033 households and 13,361 families. The population was made up of 96.81 percent White, 0.69 percent African American and 1 percent Asian. 1.13 percent of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
