British Academy of Film and Television Arts

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts, abbreviated BAFTA (literally: British Academy of Film and Television Arts ), is a British organization that awards prizes for outstanding achievements in the fields of cinema, television, children's entertainment and interactive media annually.

Introduction

The BAFTA is made up of members of the British Film Academy ( British Film Academy) and the Guild of Television Producers and directors ( Guild of Television Producers and Directors ).

The British Film Academy was founded on 16 April 1947 in a London hotel of filmmakers. The British Academy Television Craft Awards were first awarded in 1999 and spun off a year later from the British Television Film Awards.
