The British Journal of Sociology ( BJS; ISSN 0007-1315 ) is one published by the London School of Economics and Political Science Journal of Sociology.

It is published since 1950 in a quarterly basis and covers all areas of theoretical and empirical sociology. In the first year published, among other things Raymond Aron, Norbert Elias and Theodor Geiger. The magazine in 2012 had an impact factor of 1.684, which was on Rank 22 of 137 in the Social Science Citation Index journals considered in the category Sociology.
