British Rail Class 59

The EMD JT26CW - SS is an Electro- Motive Diesel (EMD ) produced diesel locomotive type with electric power transmission.

It was in the 1980s, developed by EMD, the Electro-Motive Division as a subsidiary of General Motors was then and introduced under the British series number Class 59.

Great Britain

The three model series are used by the British private railways Foster Yeoman, Hanson and EWS freight traffic. Up to 59 003 all vehicles are still in use in the UK.

Germany

The German Bahn AG in 1997 had taken a diesel-electric locomotive of the type JT26CW -SS and queued in their numbering plan than 259 003. The locomotive was previously used in the UK by the private railway company Foster Yeoman under the name Yeoman Highlander 59 003. After the feed end at the Deutsche Bahn AG, the locomotive to the Heavy Haul Power International for use on German railway lines have been made.
