Britské listy

Britské listy ( German: British sheets) is a Czech -language Internet daily newspaper for politics and culture, their own understanding of the issues upon which they reported unwillingly in the Czech media. The newspaper is known as reputable.

The portal was founded in July 1996 by the publicists January Čulík, who teaches at the University of Glasgow. He remained until today the editor, but since 2001 the editor is the union Občanské sdružení Britské listy.

Britské listy try deliberately to convey the international issues to the often quoted or translated newspapers include The Guardian, Independent, Washington Post, New York Times and others. The Czech media often refer a critical position. While it daily about 15000-18000 accesses to the 30,000 to 50,000 pages were in 2006, there were approximately 82 530 2011 hits daily. The portal is thus one of above-average read online newspapers in the Czech Republic.
