McKillip comes from a family of artists. Her father is the movie producer Tom McKillip, her mother is songwriter. Her older sister Carly McKillip is also an actress. The two sisters are members of the country music group One More Girl. Britt McKillip had their first television roles in 1998, at the age of seven years.
