Britta Bilač

Britta Bilac (born Vörös; born December 4, 1968 in Saalfeld / Saale) is a former Slovenian high jumper.

Career

Vörös 1990 with 1.91m last hall of the GDR champion in the high jump. At the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow, she won with 1.94 m silver behind Heike Henkel.

In November 1991 she married the Slovenian long jumper Borut Bilac. From the following season they competed for Slovenia.

In 1992 he was a fourth place finish at the European Indoor Championships in Genoa rank 15 at the Olympic Games in Barcelona. The following year she won at the Mediterranean Games and Eleventh was at the World Championships in Stuttgart.

In 1994 she was first Seventh at the European Indoor Championships in Paris and then won at the European Championships in Helsinki with a personal best of 2.00 m gold. At the IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championships in Barcelona in 1995, she came behind Alina Astafei and before Heike Henkel on the silver medal.

She finished ninth at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1997 and seventh at the World Championships in Athens in 1996.

1992, 1993 and 1997, she was Slovenian champion outdoors, 1993 in Halle.

Britta Bilac is 1,81 m tall and weighed about 62 kg competition times. In 1994 she was elected to the Slovenian Sportswoman of the Year.
