Britta Oppelt

Britta Oppelt ( born July 5, 1978 in Berlin ) is a German rower.

In 2002, she finished fifth in the double sculls at the World Rowing Championships in Seville, in the following year it increased this result in Milan to second place. In 2004, she won the silver medal in the double sculls at the Olympic Games in Athens. In 2005, she won the second place in the quadruple sculls at the World Rowing Championships in Gifu. In 2006, she secured the second place in the double sculls at the World Championships on Dorney Lake in Eton. In 2007, she came second in the quadruple sculls at the World Championships in Munich together with Stephanie Schiller, Manuela Lutze and Kathrin Boron. 2008, it achieved the same rowers third place, and therefore the bronze medal in the quadruple sculls at the Olympic Games in Beijing. In 2011 she was at the World Rowing Championships in Bled (Slovenia ) World Champion in women's quadruple sculls. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012, she won together with Carina Bear, Anne Katrin Thiele and Julia Richter in the quadruple sculls silver medal. It is their third overall medal at the Olympic Games. 2013 she won the gold medal at the Rowing European Championships in Seville, in the quadruple sculls. The World Rowing Championships 2013 in Chungju, they won gold.
