Broddi Kristjansson

Broddi Kristjánsson ( born December 8, 1960) is an Icelandic badminton player.

Career

Broddi Kristjánsson 1992 took part in both the men's doubles as well as in men's singles at the Olympics. He lost in each case in round one and was thus 17 in doubles and 33 in singles.

Broddi Kristjánsson was 1980-2006 a total of fourteen times Icelandic champion in singles, twenty times champion in doubles and eight -time champion in mixed doubles.

The Iceland International won Broddi Kristjánsson 1987, 1989, 1990, 1994 and 1995 in the individual; 1987, 1989 and 1990, he won the doubles tournament with his partner Þorsteinn Páll Hængsson, 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1998 with Árni Þór Hallgrímsson. In 1987, the Icelanders also won the mixed tournament with his partner Kristín Magnúsdóttir, two years later with Þórdís Edwald and another two years later with the Swede Lim Xiaoqing at his side.

In addition Broddi Kristjánsson could decide together with Árni Þór Hallgrímsson the doubles tournament of the Spanish International in 1995 for themselves.
